Product Description:

Vertical Booking is a CRS application from the Italian technology giant Zucchetti Group. They have a proprietary channel manager and offer white labeling services of their booking engine. While dominant in Italy and prolific in some parts of Europe their spread in NA has been mainly through lower end / budget type hotels. Booking engine lacks some of the more advanced merchandising features seen on systems such as SynXis and Windsurfer.

Benefit to Customer:

The company offers a very affordable CRS platform that works well for economy lodging properties. More complex hotels with advanced merchandising/pricing strategies may struggle with the connection between the two systems as they have very different capabilities

TravelTripper + Pegasus

Product Description:

TravelTripper concentrates on helping hotels with direct bookings by using the CRS platform and IBE as well as digital expertise in web design and digital marketing. Their focus is designed on helping hoteliers with the whole journey. Those properties only using them for 1 of their services don’t get the full advantage of the TravelTripper eco -system. They tend to be fairly affordable for res services only but the true value is in the full eco-system which can become much more expensive.

TravelTripper does an excellent job servicing the needs of the smaller customer. They have the advantage of having a wide variety of properties which enables them to study and understand consumer shopping behaviors in a variety of markets and geographic regions. Through their affiliation with Highgate Ventures they have strength in investments and expertise in the hospitality industry as their parent organization owns and operates independent hotels.

Sabre’s SynXis CRS platform is a powerful distribution platform used by a large number of independent and branded hotels worldwide. Their innovative booking engine offers the ability of hoteliers to merchandize their offerings and put together unique offers to help drive more direct bookings. Their unified product offerings help hoteliers drive more direct bookings and minimize their dependance on OTA’s.

Sabre hospitality is a proven leader in the distribution space and their SynXis CRS platform continues to lead the pack in innovation. Their strength in size allows significant investment in R&D to continue to lead. This is most appropriate for groups and chains looking for flexibility in their distribution and booking engine. Does not always tend to work for smaller individual hotels.
